Tweet Artifact #8- 4/13/15
"Dreams are not foreshadowings of the future, just replaying of some aspect of the past."
The above was a tweet that I posted on my UWRT 1102 twitter focused on dreaming. I have never had to create and keep an updated twitter for any class, but I thought this was a very interesting idea. My twitter really helped me when starting to write my first draft of my essay. I could look back over thoughts, ideas, or facts I had previously tweeted and thought to be interesting to help get the gist of what all I wanted to try to say in my paper. Also, I could keep up with what others in the class had to say in general, or about there topic. Overall I learned new facts about my topics as well as others through the use of twitter, and I learned twitter was able to act as an outline for my paper from previous times. I never have thought of social media, like twitter, as a way of keeping up with academic purposes; but now I see that social media can be used for many different things.

Proposal Artifact #9- 2/2/15 Prezi Slideshow
The slideshow above are pictures from the Prezi I created to show to class as a proposal. This proposal worked as an introduction to your topic of inquiry and worked as a mechanism to get you to start thinking about questions you wanted to answer, perspectives to take, and overall how your topic related to death. I liked the idea of giving a proposal or introduction to the class because it aloud time for suggestions and questions from others to help my process of starting. In the process of creating this Prezi, it also allowed me to think ahead to what I wanted to plan out, serving in a way of an outline. This was a very helpful and informative assignment to me as a student and I would definitely recommend this assignment to others in the future.
Concept Map Artifact #10-3/11/14
First off, I had never even heard of a concept map until coming into this UWRT 1102 class. I was very confused as first on what was to go in, what a concept map looked like, and how to even make one. I first started my process of making this map by taking all six of my sources and writing a short summary of what each one said. Next, I took out a scratch sheet of paper and began to draw connections I saw throughout my research. Of course, I then looked up example images of a concept map on google to see what my map was supposed to relatively looked like. Luckily, I started to draw my map in one corner, and the rest flowed smoothly (showing the connections and disconnections) and I no longer even considered the example I had previously looked up. This concept map also acted as an outline for my paper when I started to write, since I had included most of the information I wanted to share (at that time) in my map. From this assignment, I learned the purpose of a concept map and how helpful it can be to my writing process. From now on, even if not assigned, I will construct a concept map after gathering my research to help me prepare a better organized and more well written essay.
